If you're looking for a new board game, I highly recommend Mind the Gap if you like trivia. It's a great game for kids and you go head to head in teams or individual for each generation. My 12-year-old daughter rocks the Gen Z and I rock the Millennial.

Oh thank you! That sounds fun but admittedly I’m pretty terrible at trivia 😂 but maybe this will help me grow?

Hahaha it’s pop culture, slang, tv, news and one other category

I’ve switched my whole skincare to Ursa Major, I love it!! I use the daily moisturizer, cleanser, serum, eye cream, and the golden hour recovery cream. I’m slightly obsessed with the piney smell of all of their products now 😍

Expand full comment

I think I’m going to do the same!! And is it strange that I like that the Golden Hour Cream kinda stings when I first apply it? Like I know it’s working?! 😂 I love it!

I enjoyed your entire entire paragraph of really nice things, but especially waking up to the smell of pancakes and slipping into new sheets. It really is the small things, isn't it?

Expand full comment

Gosh, isn't it? The day after I sent this I woke up in bed facing my toddler (lol) and we both opened our eyes and said, with glee, "I smell pancakes!" 🥹

You and Morgan Long are my go to comfort reads/videos! I picked up a copy of Welcome to the Hyunam-Dong Bookshop because of both your praises! I just switched my skincare to Weleda Skin Food and absolutely love it but need an eye cream and going to treat myself to the Ursa Major one the brand sounds heavenly.

OMG that's the best compliment ever. Her stuff is soooo cozy, so simple and thoughtful. Brittney you are going to LOVE that book, I'm so excited for you to read it. 🙏 I hear great things about Skin Food. I think Ursa Major is having a good sale right now (or soon?) so it's not a bad time to treat yo'self. I use my stocking as a great reason to restock on skin care 😂

Okay, popcorn is one of my faves, and my air popper is my most-used appliance. Mind doesn't have an on/off switch--you dramatically plug it in, and then rip the plug out when you're done. My toppings--a little butter and parmesan cheese. We make a giant bowl at least once a week. Looking forward to all of your upcoming holiday content!

I think we have the same one because mine doesn’t have a switch either and every time I plug it in before I add the popcorn and cannot for the life of me remember that is the wrong order of business 😂. If you like parm give nutritional yeast a try sometime— similar sharp cheesy flavor with a bit of nuttiness, and shelf stable.

I love Ursa Major! The Golden Hour Recovery Cream is great.

What else do you love from them? I think I’m slowly making my way to replacing all of my skincare with their products. Is it weird that I like the way I can actually feel the Golden Hour Recovery cream working when I put it on?! 😂

Expand full comment

Unfortunately I have only used that and the eye cream so I can't be of much help! I also love that the Recovery cream comes in a travel size. It's so nice to have.

The eye cream is truly amazing!! So glad you love it too!!

I need to know more about your popcorn! I'm new on a crunchy journey, with that being said, I have no idea what EVO or nutritional yeast is. 🤭 A recipe of the ingredients you use would be so fun!

Expand full comment

Oooo yes!! Okay EVOO— extra virgin olive oil!! Basically it helps the seasonings stick. And Nutritional Yeast is GOLD!! 🙌 It has a cheesy-nutty flavor (we use it in all our cashew based cheese sauces) and it’s got great nutritional properties too. I’m addicted!!
