The first whispers of autumn have arrived! Apple-flavored goods are filling up grocery store shelves (we had our first cider donuts and cider this weekend!), and the kids are back in school. I’m sitting at my computer with an iced maple oat milk latte while pizza dough balls rise on the counter next to a pair of butter sticks that are coming to room temperature (I’m planning to veganize a batch of Ina Garten’s giant crinkled chocolate chip cookies thanks to Earth Balance butter sticks and Bob’s Red Mill egg replacer— too easy!).
If back-to-school has imprinted itself on your calendar like it has mine, then those once blank and quiet September squares have quickly filled with school events, birthday parties (so many already!), fall happenings, and the endless abundance of sports practices and games filling in the gaps. Phew. So today, thanks to the results of a reader poll in the last Sunday Menu, I’ll be sharing a breakdown of how I meal plan. And it’s kismet because this timed exactly with the last page of my meal planner— so I gave the current printable a little update. I’ll show you how I print it and use it for meal planning and grocery shopping.
There’s also going to be looooots of pizza talk— the doughs I’ve been experimenting with, and all the homemade toppings I’m using from sauce to cheese to ‘ronis as we enjoy our new Ooni wood-fired pizza oven.
Come on in and let me show you how delicious and indulgent plants are— everyone is welcome, not just herbivores. 🫶

Meal planning has become one of those game-changing routines I adopted a few years ago, and it’s such a natural part of my weekly rhythm that I can’t imagine life without it. Having a plan for what we will eat during the week is the single most important way we cut down on waste and it takes so much guesswork out of my busy days with four little ones. Today, I’m walking you through my process step-by-step, sharing my top tips, and of course, I’ve got a printable too!
