I have 3 favorite (and my only) bookmarks: a handmade leather one from my husband, a handwritten note I found on my pillow from my 7 year old, and a brass one from Our Spare Change that my bestie gifted me (itโs so good that Iโve also gifted these to others too!). They reside in a drawer in our den *but* Iโve been known to use a dust jacket flap or a library hold receipt in a pinch ๐คซ
This book mark bit thoughโฆ๐ญ๐ฏ๐ I hope to do this! Currently, we go to our photo box when we need a bookmark! Itโs always fun to find a photo/memory that perhaps fits the book. Not always does this happen but I have a special on of my daughter napping last fall and it fits perfectly with a book Iโm reading called โyou are what you loveโ. Mm, the details such as a bookmark truly make an impact! Thank you, once again for sharing lovely Brittany!
Awe thatโs such a good idea, and it makes me think I need to print my photos! We do Chatbooks but I donโt really have any loose photos except for instant camera pictures, which are pretty fun.
๐ฅน๐ฅฒ Thank you for those kind words Hannah!! ๐ซถ๐ซถ
I also loooooove bookmarks! I have several that I made in elementary school ๐ณ, several my kids have made, and a few special pictures that have unintentionally been designated as bookmarks! It truly is the little thingsโฆ ๐
I LOVED Ambition Monster. I was also so utterly immersed in the whole thing. I work in media / fashion in NYC so it's a very familiar world to me, but her personal story was just so engrossing. 10/10 memoir for me.
I also am so happy to see that your review of God of the Woods mentions Fear Street because I loveeeed that trilogy and feel like I've been looking for something to fill that void for a while. I truly love summer camp creepiness.
My book fun fact is that I don't use bookmarks but chaotically close the book and look at the page number and just search for it when I pick the book back up ๐ฌ
Right?! What a story!! We had barely gotten through her first marriage and I was like โwait, thereโs more?!โ
Ahhhh Fear Street was SO GOOD! We watched the original Friday the 13th last October (on Friday the 13th ๐) and I donโt think Iโd ever seen it, despite having watched several others in the franchise and that also has some strong summer camp scary vibes.
OMG. My brain hurts but that must be why youโre so smart, keeping that brain sharp!! ๐ Thatโs actually kinda brilliant.
I love that Iโm not the only one waving my freak flag when it comes to bookmarksโฆand iykyk regarding the freak flag comment too ;)
* to be correct, I should have said โflying my freak flagโ so apologies to you & Mr. Stone but hoping you got it, nonetheless ๐ฅฐ๐
Hahahaah yesssss I got it ๐ wave that flag!!
You have some cute bookmarks! Mine are housed in a bookish mug
Mugs are so perfect for bookmarks!! ๐
i love how in depth you are w your reviews!!! just came across your sub and love all your photos and graphics ๐ฅบ๐ฅบ
๐ฅฒ๐โจ that is so kind, thank you for this comment, Substack is so much fun for me!!
The Family Stone!!! Love it :) I need to work on my bookmark collection for sure. I keep mine in my nightstand!
Hehe, itโs almost time! ๐๐
The subtle Family Stone reference is ๐๐ป
๐
Hehe thanks ๐๐ Love a fellow Family Stone fan
I love your bookmarks! After seeing you post bookmarks a while back I started taking care and collecting my own!
Oh yay, I love that! They really are such a fun thing to college.
Excited to hear your thoughts on Truly Devious! I was thinking about reading itโฆ
Yes! I'm hoping I enjoy it but also nervous about how many books are in the series hehe. But gotta love a cozy Vermont setting!!

Those sound so treasured Brittany!! Hehe and Iโm not above a dust jacket or scrap paper or even, a dog ear ๐ when push comes to shove ๐

We just became best friends! I also love The Family Stone! I watch it every year โค๏ธ
Yessssss! ๐ซถ Same. Itโs so good ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ
Sometimes our reading plans have a life of their own. Sounds like it worked out quite well though. Hope you're enjoying Margo as much as I did.
Hehe they sure do! *moves remaining summer books to the back of the bookshelf*
Let us know how Truly Devious goes for you. I'm curious.
๐ซก Roger that! I love the Vermont setting so far :)

Wow, thatโs so special!!! Yes bookmarks from the kids are extra magical. ๐ฅน๐ฅน
Margo's Got Money Troubles was such a fun, smart read! And my bookmarks all live in a mug on my bookshelf that's full to bursting.
I love the bookmarks in a mug look so much, such an easy and cute way to keep track of them.
