Happy July and the midway point of 2024! Instead of dwelling on how quickly the year is flying by, let's dive into the latest updates. My older boys finished their school year this month, and we've plunged into summer. As a result, my reading in June didnβt quite meet the ambitions of my hefty summer TBR list. Nevertheless, Iβm relishing the long, leisurely summer days with my kids, soaking up our time together, and reading whenever I can. Hereβs what that looked like in June:
Nora Goes Off Script by Annabel Monaghan | ββββ
This was my first time reading Monaghan, and it wonβt be my last. I loved everything about this romance. It features a divorced mom of two, who writes screenplays for the Romance Channel (think Hallmark) and ends up hosting Hollywoodβs biggest male actor for a week in her cozy upstate New York home. Can you imagine oh I donβt know, say, Matthew McConaughey living with you somewhat unexpectedly!? Well, you can if you read this book. Iβm always a little nervous heading into a hyped romance, but this one lives up to the buzz.
